The Alpha Challenge is considered the premier MBA event in the investment management industry. The event presents an opportunity for 3-person teams to present their investment analysis for both long and short recommendations from a predefined list of companies. MBA students from the top programs around the world come to Chapel Hill for this unique opportunity to present in front of some of the top portfolio managers and analysts in the industry.
Each year, UNC Kenan-Flagler invites 5 prospective MBA students to attend the Alpha Challenge. While the prospective students do not compete in the challenge, they are invited to watch the various rounds of the competition and experience the exceptional investment management resources that exist here at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Important information to remember: Candidates will receive invites directly from admissions by the end of October. Note: Participation in the Alpha Challenge does not guarantee admission to UNC Kenan-Flagler. If you are selected to participate in the Alpha Challenge and have not already interviewed with Kenan-Flagler (for MBA admission), we will arrange for you to interview while you are on campus.
